Exuberant color

Even though I liked Beth's idea (in the comments yesterday) to make the last block lime green, that would have meant pulling out at least 16 pieces of lime fabric to cut one strip off and I already had black scraps ready to cut into strips. Thanks for all of the votes and suggestions yesterday. I have decided this is the way the quilt will be finished. I started a colorwash with rectangle shapes to talk about on my last live session Thursday. I still need to fill in with squares at tops and bottoms of rows. It rained part of the day yesterday and I ignored the damaged garden and continued playing. By 11 p.m. I had all of the rectangles filled in and now I'll get the squares and fill in.
