I would be thrilled to see someone build this charming English cottage near me. Could you even find the craftsmen to take the time necessary to pull it off? Masons today aren't often even given the opportunity to construct real chimneys like this or real stucco on the home's exterior. These are the changes I would make to this charming little plan. I need the kitchen in the back to open up to the garden. Since I would live here rather than using it for holidays, I would need bigger bedrooms. The downstairs rooms would become a pantry and an office, and the upstairs rooms would be roomier bathrooms. I would close in the vaulted ceiling for a second bedroom. With the office downstairs, I wouldn’t need a desk in the library area, leaving room for bookshelves and a window…
