Yes, this is a straw bale. We use straw (and not hay) bales because they typically don’t have seeds in them. Black Harvest Farms October 27, 2011 Grandma & Grandpa took us to Black Island Farms in Syracuse last Thursday…it was SO much FUN! We went right after school, so the sun was still shining…but BOY, was it COLD!
