Oh, Lamu... mention its name and we get flashbacks of golden sunsets, swaying palms, whitewashed Swahili villas and bougainvillea-covered terraces. This little island, just off the coast of Kenya, was the absolute highlight of our trip to Kenya, yet it remains surprisingly (and luckily) off the well-trodden tourist trail.
