Popular throughout the Middle East, these savory, handheld turnovers get stuffed with a variety of fillings including a mix of sharp and salty cheeses. Traditionally deep-fried (many home cooks today bake them instead), they are commonly served on Shabbat morning and also on Hanukkah, when fried foods are customary. But they are also great for lunch or as a tote-along snack.

1.5 tablespoons of dry yeast 
1/2 tablespoon of sugar
1/4 cup of lukewarm water
Mix it in a bowl and let the yeast rise for 1 minute. 
Ingredients for the dough- 
7 cups of all purpose flour 
1/3 cup of olive oil
50 grams of soft unsalted butter
4 tablespoons of sugar 
1/2 tablespoon of sea salt 
1 3/4 cups of lukewarm water 

Cheese filling- 
250 grams of crumble feta cheese 
250 grams of mozzarella cheese 
100 grams of cheddar cheese
150 Olive Oil Butter, Nigella Seeds, Water Mixes, All Purpose Flour, Baking Paper, Stand Mixer, More Recipes, Paper Cover, Dry Yeast
