Just as an explanation of the flurry of changes seen here:
We are fairly sure at this point that the problems seen are a result of T93086 .. which to put in plain terms .. is the result of Parsoid getting the wrong data-parsoid values from RESTBase for the HTML that had to be serialized .. It is because of a seemingly rare race condition .. which @GWicke is going to be fixing as a high priority.
I've opened 3 unrelated robustness bugs in Parsoid (which will minimize damage in some of these scenarios), but they are unrelated to the core issue at hand which is the race condition.
