I mostly edit medical content over on English Wikipedia. Not a programmer myself but have a lot of ideas that can benefit from the skills of programmers :-)

That makes sense. Will if pull in all the language links with one request?
And then the wiki data element in the sidebar with another request?

We have language links partly working. But it is hit and miss and not sure why?

We were able to adjust the tool to make this happen. If we were to do the development would you be willing to review our code changes?

We at Wiki Project Med would love the ability to add lists based on MDWiki... We basically put articles once they are ready to be translated into a category. This allows us the ability to only suggest well developed articles for translation. https://mdwiki.org/wiki/Category:RTT @Ainali how would I add this category as a list to Wikidata?

We are on the interwiki map as mdwiki https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Interwiki_map

We will work on fixing the video cut tool on Commons. https://videocuttool.wmcloud.org/

Started after adding this video to the infobox

Yes we are creating short animations of still images without sound. These are then to be used within the videowiki tool, at which point multiple media files are stitched together and text to speech sound is added. One can see an example here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:VideoWiki/Tuberculosis
Jun 10 2024
Yes agree with your suggestion to use En.MD.Video

Brian figured it out. We just needed to add this page https://nccommons.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Lang
Jun 1 2024
I am thinking we should go with the shorter version, ie replace "Wikipedia-VideoWiki" with simply "Video"

Every article on MDWiki does list the Wikidata ID at the top if that helps https://mdwiki.org/w/index.php?title=Gout&action=edit
So what we are doing meshes closely with VideoWiki but should be standalone. We are looking at creating a number of tools that make short video segments. So lets apply for another project...
Would be wonderful if we could have the system believe that MDWiki is a language like Simple EN...
Basically we want to feed two peices of data to a new tool on the wmcloud that then takes this data and creates a short video which it uploads to commons. The data could be handed to the tool via a url such as like in this template https://mdwiki.org/wiki/Video:Sandbox
May 11 2024
I am thinking that these template should be external to VideoWiki
As I think about the best way to implement these additional functions, I am thinking this template should begin as
May 8 2024
All the languages of Wikipedia are stored here, so basically want the system to pretend MDWiki is a language of Wikipedia, just like Simple Wikipedia is.
May 6 2024
Okay we appear to have this solved...

Okay found the answer here https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:DiscussionTools/Magic_words_and_markup
Okay @Bawolff figured out the issue. It is something called DiscussionTools https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:DiscussionTools
Further details
I have made both the EN WP and MDWiki articles exactly the same. And they still return different results via the API.

By the way, how long until the default is changed? We have a effort rolling out in Igbo right now. I am doing video conferences to try to teach people how to change the default themselves which is not ideal.
Is there a place were it lists all the languages for which MinT is the default? Someone needs to test them.

Have emailed a number of folks at OWID to see if they are still interested in collaborating with us on this. Last reached out to them regarding this in 2022. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-NViGPksV0fDvf0gueXhMTnP7sTAWU7W-BWPvO4zZ0g/edit

After so so many years it is amazing to make progress. We definitely need to figure out translation next. I know it is on OWIDs list of things to do. Ideally we figure it out with them and we both benefit.

We are working on a "Consent pop up" and will hopefully have it ready in a couple of weeks for further discussion.

With the update that Ryan just did this is mostly fixed. Just a few like this that are not formatted properly

The largest image sets will probably be 600 to 800.

Actually with respect to the lua, this is not currently needed as Ibrahem has put all the CT scans into image sets https://nccommons.org/wiki/Category:Image_set
It is interesting. When you first load a CT scan it gives you a count down of how many images are remaining to be downloaded. https://radiopaedia.org/cases/186505/studies/148351?lang=us So Maybe they are downloading them all immediately aswell.
@Bawolff do you know how radiopedia does this? Such as here https://radiopaedia.org/cases/crest-syndrome-1?lang=us

We at Wiki Project Med have created NC Commons for NC and ND licensed material. It currently has about 6.3 million media files. We have consensus from Afrikaans WP to adopt its use. Wondering if there are folks here interested in getting involved? https://nccommons.org/wiki/Main_Page
The Cloud-Services project tag is not intended to have any tasks. Please check the list on https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/project/profile/832/ and replace it with a more specific project tag to this task. Thanks!
