pivot's sketchbook

hi im pivot. i graduated from college several years ago with a degree in the creation of digital 3d art. in my free time i like to draw the 2d picture, and put it on my art blog here.

i made this blog originally to procrastinate on schoolwork and post unfinished stuff that i didnt think was good enough for my main art blog. of course over time that ended up being every art, so i stopped posting as much over there. classic artist problem. anyway nowadays i try to keep all the black and white sketchy stuff here and everything that involves color over on my main.

question and answer segment:

• if i dont know u personally then i am just a stranger on the internet. you can use any pronouns for me

• if you want to send me an art-related ask go right ahead. i love posting about art on my art blog dedicated to art. if you want to send a chit-chat type ask or something not specifically art related then you’d prolly be better served sending it to my reblog tumblr @jpivblog.

• this is my sketchbook blog and the content is pretty self explanatory– just sketches and whatever tryhard stuff that doesnt end up on my main art blog for whatever reason. sorry about the tumblr theme im using, its pre-NPF so it interacts awkwardly with the modern tumblr post formats. i got it to lightbox the newer NPF stuff but now it breaks on older posts. oh well. i like it too much and i have yet to find a modern tumblr theme that has the specific things i require

ah, hmm… what other questions can i preemptively answer…

• apparently there are some people on this website that get mad about “like spam” or one person reblogging many posts all at once? i do not get mad about that. you can go ahead and do that without worrying. i also do not dwell on the ratio of “likes to reblogs” on my posts. the only thing i am particularly judgemental about is when someone is mean or otherwise hateful in the comments/tags, which i would just generally recommend against doing. its just a weird thing to do. i mean… its all public… people can see that… and it gets sent directly to the OP’s activity page without ANY context… anyway THAT is true freako behavior, not “liking posts”

• the ccstory tag is about a bunch of original characters who all live in a box canyon town called Cliffside, but mostly following two slacker medics in their quest to avoid having to actually do their job. ive given up on ever telling a coherent story about it, its just a bunch of silly little amnesiac immortal guys that ive spent several years thinking about. its basically my high school roleplay memoirs.
  
  
• the TAGCEN tag is for my actually coherent story about wrestlers wrestling. it got narratives and plot and everything. but i aint in the business of making graphic novels so its really just a collection of my wrestler ocs not wrestling.
