My and @instant-bull's one of hundreds of random AUs: in which Dai recognizes how bad Sakumo is doing mentally and decides to help his hurting friend as much as he can: up to a point of living together, to make sure both he and his boy are taken care of. It's good for everyone involved really: Kakashi has a playmate, Gai has someone to bounce energy off with, taxes are being paid, and Dai and Sakumo don't suffer from male loneliness stresses of being a single father in the crumbling economy of pre-war Konoha. I'm just a sucker for found family tropes, sometimes I just want these goddamn ninjas to be happy...

Also, colors done by my husband <:3 )~~

I really wanted to get these done before this week’s stream. I’m kinda getting emotional about this comic coming to an end and everything Kyri wrote in her last post. I’m so grateful I get to witness it in real-time, even though I came into the fandom pretty late. It’s such a wonderful place, and I hope it’ll continue to be that way.

I originally only wanted to draw the Shadowpeach stuff, but the fits in these latest chapters went so hard. First, MK—who I’ve actually never drawn before—so this was my first time! But Red Son!! OMG, he served. I just could not not draw him—lowkey obsessed with his gender fluidity. All the credit for the designs goes to @kyri45, of course!

Anyway, I’ll stop gushing before this gets too long—thanks for the love on my last post! Okay, byyyye!

JOKES ASIDE this is actually sad because I am sure he really just did pick up every summon dog he could until he was on the edge of his chakra resources. Like none of his summons are from breeds meant to fight except for maybe Akino, Uuhei and Bull.

He already had all of his eight dogs while he was tracking Orochimaru and he was ~14 at this point which means he had chosen all his summons while being a literal child. Which also means he acted like a normal child picking random animals on street and taking them home except that he didn’t have parents who are usually against this behaviour :( fuuuck imma cry on this hill
