A: frailty = easily broken, weak, fragile, not strong, easily damaged, easily destroyed.

Things and people can become frail over time, as they get old. Sometimes sickness or poor health can make a person frail. Some people are not very strong, they get hurt or scared easily, so they seem frail.

There is a phrase called "human frailty".
- This can be physical, talking about the way humans can be easily damaged or die, the fact that we do not last forever.
- OR this phrase can be talking about their strength of mind or their character. A strong character and morals means having the strength to do the right thing. But having weak morals and character means they do whatever is easy or comfortable for themselves, so they cheat and they lie and they are lazy and they steal things, etc. So this type of "human frailty" can mean people who are weak, who lack the strength or conviction to do the right things in life. Giving in easily, instead of standing strong.

A: You’d usually use the word frailty when describing people. You’d use the word fragility when describing things/objects.

A: I would just word it a bit differently to make it sound more natural. I think it sounds better to say "Downtrodden people are notorious for their frailty."
