1.4K views · 1.1K reactions | Transform your space with a stunning accent wall! 🌟 Below are the steps I used. 1. Choose a focal wall: Pick a wall that you want to highlight and draw attention to. 2. Select your materials and design: Paint color, size and type of wood. I used Primed MDF so the wood grain wouldn’t show through the paint. Paint color- Retreat in Matte finish 3. Tape out your design on the wall so you get an idea what it will look like and also can get some rough measurements of the pieces you’ll need to cut 4. Pre-roll your wall so you don’t have to paint around all the boards. I also pre-rolled my outer boards so I wouldn’t have to trim them later! 5. Start nailing your pieces and cut as you go! You don’t want to precut all your pieces because your wall is likely not going to be even and they will fit differently. 6. Fill all nail holes and cracks with wood filler. Once it dries, lightly sand 7. Fill all seams with caulk where the board meets the wall 8.
