Pittsburgh's Hill District as it appeared in 1951. The view is up Forbes Avenue from Soho. The then-new Terrace Village housing on the hilltop contrasts with older houses below. This is where my Grandparents lived when they arrived from Italy but were forced to move by the city as they expanded the public housing projects.
