How many times have you heard “engage your core” and had no idea what that means? Probably too many to count I’m sure.

Well, here’s the secret. The easiest way to know that you’re engaging your core is by tucking your hips. By doing this you automatically contract your abdominal muscles. Over extending your lower back by arching does the exact opposite and it’s a fast track to injury.

If you’re not sure how to tuck your hips try this. Lie on your back and get the lower part of your back to touch the floor. That’s it. That simple 😊
