This is a picture of Lawrence Kohlberg. He was a psychologist who focused on Moral Reasoning and how it changes throughout life. He decided that there were 3 stages. Pre-conventional, where we make decisions based on Rewards and Punishment. Conventional is when we make decisions by thinking about reputation and the law. Conventional is from our own Ethical Principles.

Lawrence Kohlberg formulated a theory asserting that individuals progress through six distinct stages of moral reasoning from infancy to adulthood. According to Kohlberg, these stages are grouped into three separate levels known as preconventional, conventional, and post-conventional morality.
