Despite having lived in Den- mark for many years, he remains in touch with his estranged wife by the occasional phone call and sending money to her home in Iran. Even though she has pleaded for them to reunite, Fares remains hesitant to do so, due to still struggling with his traumas. But when he is taken hostage by the desperate young Kasper, who is seeking to repay his drug dept, Fares is forced to not only be Kaspers designated driver for the night, but also to confront his past.
