In the dock, again and again, the others. But us? What would we do in a similar situation?!?!? Through hidden camera shoots, role-playing experiments and scientific research on human behaviour, "Cas de conscience" recreates a "study laboratory" on our behaviour in relation to major social issues. At first, the method may seem rascal: passers-by are confronted with ethical situations staged by our team, which appeal to their civic, political, ecological or humanitarian sense. How will they respond to discrimination, fraud, linguistic difference, social disobedience or dishonesty? Faced with a group of young people bullying a grandmother on the bus, who will intervene and how? Where "Cas de conscience" differs from the usual "joke and grab" camera, is that the citizen caught in the act is the starting point, a powerful pretext to lead us towards a broader analysis of the situation. In the case of our young thugs, they embody one facet of our topic of the day: bullying. Each episode is thus articulated around a major central theme that brings together various aspects of the same "flaw" of homo vulgaris: power, greed, violence, lies. - This documentary series of 10 episodes, animated with casualness by André Sauvé, comedian and humanist, offers a new reading of the major social issues by exploring the origin and motivations of the human being. We can blame politicians for lying and some big financiers for stealing from us, but who can boast of never having hired an undeclared worker or granted a privilege to a friend. See less
