“every possible kind of content can be found on the internet” yeah sure except for the One fucking thing I’m looking for. why does no one want to talk about the One Singular thing I’m looking for. but yeah other than that everything is on here.

Is this what you’re looking for perchance?

executive dysfunction tips! It gets easier to do a task if you dress appropriately first!! It’s much easier to get started once you’re wearing the right clothes for the headspace. For example if you need to clean your room, try putting on a maid dress! If you need to make dinner, try putting on a maid dress! If you need to accept visitors, try putting on a maid dress! I feel like we really lost something when we started looking at writing as a reader-centric product meant to appeal to the desires of a specific audience rather than a writer-centric approach of someone writes whatever particular thing particular compels them/whatever weird thing the demons in their head want to talk about, and people out there who are also compelled, and/or relate, find that writing. A lot of discussions of writing really center around what readers want rather than a writer’s exploration. Sometimes as a reader I don’t know what I want. I click on a fic or pick up a book I’m not sure about but that looks interesting, and I love it. Reading what I expect to get is it’s own joy, but we always need to expand our horizons and not get mad at creators for not always writing what we want/expect.

Something I will never be able to relate to is when some younger people just…straight up don’t want a PC, because they prefer phones for some reason

I can’t imagine doing many things on a phone, to me, someone in their late 20’s, the phone is just for messaging and calling (for calling IRL people that don’t use Discord on PC to voicecall I mean) and maybe listening to podcasts on the go, and okay, maybe svrolling social media when i wake up in the morning, but stuff like doing my taxes, gaming, writing documents, and basically everything else is a “PC task”

I still have trouble “typing fast” on a phone, i can type very fast on a keyboard, but my hands just start to hurt after a while of typing on a phone, the way I hold a phone in my hands just doesn’t feel as comfortable as typing on a keyboard to me personally

Keep in mind I’m not saying “phone bad” (except if you’re an iPhone user of course (half joking)), but I’m just saying I think it’s one of those things that makes me realise I’m slowely not “the young generation” anymore, which feels strange, but it’s alright, because everyone has their own preferences and I do respect that

some fandom disagreements are like “I see your point but I think this other aspect of the narrative is more significant,” and some are like “I don’t think you can read.”
