Seaside resorts in England—whether in Brighton, Bournemouth, or Burnham-on-Sea—were as much a place to flaunt one’s style as London itself during the season.

Back in the days before the camera was king, fashions were portrayed to the masses through artfully illustrated drawings. Somebody has collected a series of these beautiful sketches, documenting the changes in western fashion all the way from 1784 to 1970, when the artform finally became obsolete.

Hi All! Here a 1895 ball gown. I've tryed to do a dress inspired by the great Charles Frederic Worth, but without make a copy of an existing dress. Cream color silk satin enriched with antique ivory lace, poudre grey silk tulle embroidered with metallic sequins. Black silk velvet ribbon detail. Done in 2021.
