I often program pin squats with acceleration training as it’s a great way to develop starting and accelerative strength.

All of my athletes’ programs feature acceleration and speed work as they provide a unique stimulus that we can’t reach elsewhere. Most sports feature these abilities as well, so while we use it to develop general abilities, there is also an element of specificity too.
