First, you need to remove the finish before attempting to bleach it! 1- Two part wood bleach works on wood that’s darker and with lots of red, like cedar and mahogany. It’s great for lifting those warm tones but leaves the grain! 2- household bleach works well for lighter wood and when mixed with the sun, it’s great at making a minor change. If you want drastic, go with the first method! I have step by step tutorials on the blog.
