But, if you’re totally new to calisthenics, then there are a couple of drills that you can practice in order to prepare yourself physically (and mentally) for the challenging Sissy Squat! 🦿

To perform the Sissy Squat effectively, the following areas need to be strong and mobile👇

1. Quads: Strength is essential for the deep knee bend and maintaining balance throughout the movement.

2. Knees: Mobility is crucial for the full range of motion required in the sissy squat, ensuring proper alignment and minimizing injury risk!

3. Hip Flexors: Flexibility is necessary to allow the pelvis to tilt correctly and maintain an upright torso.
