Science for Kids on Instagram: "Elephant Toothpaste Experiment  Instructions: For this experiment, you can use an empty water bottle (~500 mL size works well)  Step 1 - Pour about 120 mL of Hydrogen Peroxide (6% concentration) into the bottle. Add 15 mL of dish soap into the same bottle and mix gently. Ste 2 - add a few drops of color if you want your foam to look colored Step 3 - In a side container, mix together one tablespoon of yeast and three tablespoons of warm water. Stir for about 30 seconds.  Step4 - Pour the yeast mixture into the bottle tand watch your reaction go!  Chemistry Explanation: When hydrogen peroxide gets in contact with yeast,  it starts breaking down into water and oxygen. Oxygen is a gas and therefore wants to escape the liquid.
