A few years ago I shared a tutorial on How to Make a Wet Felted Lantern For Winter Solstice. This project has always been a favourite in our home. This year we wanted to try the same technique on mason jars to create a lantern with sturdier sides.

This is a very beginner-friendly tutorial using the smaller green felting ball to create a beautiful bowl with a folded brim, embellished with chunky wool and mohair boucle yarns plus lustre fibres to give some sheen.
