The intensity and tone of the color green is shown in a variety of forms in this particular image, affecting the variance of element of light. Through using green shades with a heavy white influence, or high tint, it gives those parts of the painting an idea of being provided with more light. The shaded parts of the painting, or the parts where the green has a heavier black content, are seen as dark or lacking light.
