Simple but effective

Something I was conscious of when designing for the 2024 book was to include some simple but effective granny square designs. One of the results is shown in the bottom three granny squares. They are all the same pattern. The single colour parchment is made in 8 ply. The blue dot is 10 ply and the 2 tone blue and parchment is done in 4 ply. Each one looks so very different, simply because of the colour and yarn weight. Sometimes you want something easy but still striking to make. Cool huh?
