whoismitskiI’d like to shout a hearty thank you to all the non-cismen and poc who’ve been coming to my shows - i wish I could shake each of your hands
because I know how tiring it can be to go to “indie rock” / “punk” shows, how oftentimes it’s so much easier to save yourself by not going than to have to brace yourself before you go, and feel tense from being Other the whole time you’re there.
I hope my shows (or at least my sets, as on tour I sometimes don’t know who I share shows with) are places where you can feel comfortably unguarded and can actually enjoy the music for a change, instead of being distracted by having to have all your defenses up all the time.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Have a restful Sunday, take care of yourself please!
Love, Mitski
