Sticker sheet featuring the cast of Undertale: Papyrus poses with his blue attacks; Alphys reads manga; Temmie sits at her cardboard box shop; Monsterkid grins at the camera; Toriel holds fresh baked pie; sans toasts with a bottle of ketchup, Frisk holds a stick besides a save point; the annoying dog bounds happily by; Mettaton rolls up with a microphone; Chara holds a knife; Flowey smirks; Undyne challenges the audience to a fight with spears; Mettaton EX poses with his mic; Asriel stands by; Asgore drinks from a tiny teacup; Mad Mew Mew says nyah; Napstablook sings quietly to themself; and in the background Gaster loomsALT

I’m over here resurfacing with Undertale fanart wondering what year it is lmao.

Anyways, a sticker sheet in the run-up to the Undertale 10th Anniversary this fall?

A cartoonish digital painting with warm tones and dramatic lighting. It looks like a romance novel cover, a couple in embrace gazing at each other with bedroom eyes, but they're a robot and an alien. The robot is big and bullet-shaped with a head that comes to a domed point, with camera lens eyes, shades on top like eyebrows, and bars like a mustache over a grill that looks like teeth. They're wearing an open collared shirt that's too small to close over the robot's torso. The alien is thin and noodley with a rounded head, 4 tentacle arms, and tentacles coming out of their head like wavy hair. They're wearing a loose flowing dress. A title with looping curved writing and metallic white shading reads "Interstellar Lover," with a heart inside the "o" of "Lover."ALT

Convention prep time is rolling around again, so once again I’m debating whether or not to turn the cover painting from my book “But Is It Art?” into a print. Here’s a “romance novel trade dress” version I’ve been playing with this afternoon.

I’m making a last-minute title change (from “Crowning Kingler”) because it finally occurred to me that I’ve only actually seen “to crown” used to mean “to hit” when reading Mark Twain, LOL

Help me out, friends: version A or version B?

Version A

Version B

Undecided

Constructive criticism welcome on other points as well.

Preorders are here either way

A colorful, cartoony 3-panel comic featuring Soshiro Hoshina and Konomi Okonogi from Kaiju Number 8. Hoshina is a young Japanese man with an athletic build, a thin face with sharp features and squinted-shut eyes, and black hair cut short in a bowl cut. Okonogi is a young Japanese woman with a short slim build, a rounded face with large blue eyes, glasses, and shaggy shoulder-length dark hair. Both are wearing the casual jumpsuit version of their work uniforms, Okonogi with an oversized lab coat on top of hers. 1: A fully rendered illustration. Hoshina has Okonogi backed against a wall in a "kabedon" pose, one forearm resting against the wall, his other hand on his hip, leaning toward Okonogi with a mischievous smirk. The light is behind him, his shadow falling over her. Okonogi is wide-eyed, staring up at Hoshina in surprise, clutching a clipboard to her chest. Their faces are mere inches apart. 2: Bright colors and zoom lines heighten the impact of Okonogi suddenly kissing Hoshina, her eyes squeezed passionately shut while Hoshina's are wide open in shock. Both of them are blushing intensely. A large, bouncy sound effect reads "Smooch" with a heart symbol. 3: They've separated, but are still blushing. Okonogi's shoulders are hunched and she's hugging her clipboard tighter, glaring at Hoshina with a mixture of embarrassment and annoyance, face bright red and little cartoony puffs of steam shooting off of her. She stammers, "Th-that's what you get for messing around!" Meanwhile, Hoshina has little hearts floating around his head and is staring wide-eyed at Okonogi with a crooked grin, looking excited, his fingers twitching as his hands start to reach toward her.ALT

@okohoshiweek Day 3: Role Reversal

I’m not sure if this fits the prompt, but I sketched this in a fit of passion after finishing season 1 of Kaiju No. 8 back in January (“Sorry, Okonogi, you ain’t rid of me yet!”), and then it was so long before I had free time to ink and color that I decided to just wait and shoehorn it into the ship week.

Everyone in this show is cute and shippable, but I’m always a sucker for Awkward Nerdy Girl x Goofy Guy

A cartoony color comic cover featuring characters from Pokémon: Sapphire, Relicanth, Kingler, and Krabby. Sapphire is a slim teen girl with pale skin and brown hair that's short in back and comes out in two long shapes on either side of her face. She's wearing her Omega Ruby Alpha Sapphire outfit, a red bandanna tied into a bow on her forehead, a red tank top, white shorts over black bicycle short leggings, and yellow sneakers with red and black markings. Relicanth is a large fishlike Pokémon, dark brown with light brown camouflage markings and an armored face, ending in a horn at the top. Kingler is a giant crablike Pokémon, with a bright orange body, crown-like spikes protruding from the top of its head, one large claw and one enormous craggy claw as big as its body, with a yellow-orange toothy jaw and thin but powerful crab legs. This Kingler has a scar over one eye. Krabby are essentially smaller versions of Kingler, with only two horn-like nubs and two medium-sized claws. In this composition, Kingler looms massively at the top of the page, glaring down at Sapphire and Relicanth. The scale between them is exaggerated so that Sapphire and Relicanth appear to be standing inside Kingler's open claw, poised as if to crush them. Sapphire and Relicanth glare back up at Kingler defiantly, Sapphire gritting her teeth and holding out a gleaming Pokéball. Krabby are swarming at the bottom of the page, glaring menacingly at the viewer. The title "Crowning Kingler" appears in bouncy, blocky lettering at the top of the page, mimicking the classic Pokémon logo in yellow with a dark blue outline. Yellow-and-blue text at the bottom reads "a fancomic by Rachel Ordway."ALT
A photo of a half-letter-sized paper comic with the previous image printed on it.ALT
A photo of a half-letter-sized printed comic, open to reveal black artwork printed on light green interior pages. They're two comic pages depicting Sapphire and Relicanth sneaking up on a seemingly sleeping Kingler underwater, only to be ambushed by first a strike from Kingler and then by several Krabby rising up out of the sandy ocean floor.ALT

The Pokémon fancomic I finished recently is now available for preorder as a print zine! On GREEN PAPER!!

I’ll also be bringing copies to Momocon in Atlanta, GA in May!

The comic can be read online in full here

A cartoony black-and-white illustration of the artist with the Pokémon Psyduck. The artist is a round-faced white woman with shoulder-length hair drawn and large round glasses, wearing a black short-sleeved shirt with a repeating pattern of Pikachu (a rabbit-like creature). Psyduck is a creature like an anthropomorphic duck, round and heavyset with thick stubby-fingered arms instead of wings, small webbed feet, and a large round bill, about the size of a young child. The artist has Psyduck in a squeezing hug, smiling broadly. Psyduck is smiling too, its tongue sticking out.ALT

I needed a Pokémon-themed author pic for zine reasons, and this came out way cuter than it had any right to 🥺

it’d be really cool if everyone put their money where their mouths are and went and saw the new fully 2d animated looney tunes movie that’s in theaters RIGHT NOW instead of continuing to scream about the snow white and lilo and stitch remakes

you guys LOVE theatrical 2d animation, right? you’re utterly drained by the live action remake trend? you wanna at least try to participate in the effort to bring it back into the limelight in a non-anime context? here’s your chance. go see “the day the earth blew up: a looney tunes movie” at your nearest theater.

guys wouldn’t it be sooo funny if we not only saw this opening weekend but saw it again the day the snow white reboot released and out-grossed it. wouldnt that be so fucking funny. piss off WB corporate (who tried to can the movie like they did everything else) AND disney corporate. wouldnt that be funny

A cartoony illustration of Fafnir and Takiya from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. Fafnir is a slim pale-skinned man with long black hair that falls down in face-obscuring bangs and red eyes with sleep deprivation bags under them, wearing tiny round glasses and an old-fashioned suit with a ruffled tie under a red kimono jacket. Takiya is an average-build, light-skinned Japanese man with short-cropped dark hair and slight buck teeth, wearing giant round glasses and a matching kimono jacket in blue. Takiya cheerfully leans against Fafnir's back, his hand on Fafnir's shoulder, while Fafnir grumpily hunches forward over the video game controller he's clutching.ALT
A cartoony illustration of Ilulu from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. Ilulu is a round-faced girl with curly pink hair that comes out in thin ringlet pigtails, with thick curved dragon horns on both sides of her head and enormous, muscular dragon arms protruding from under a cloak with a furred collar. She's winking cutely at the camera with her tongue out, one clawed dragon hand on her cheek and the other making a finger-gun at the viewer. Hearts surround floating text above her head that reads "Not evil anymore, I want to be loved now (tee hee~)"ALT

Still doodling Dragon Maid during the group chat.

In particular, I keep thinking about how when Tohru suggested Fafnir move in with Takiya, she was probably secretly hoping that Fafnir would kill him 😂 but accidentally paired Fafnir up with the only person he could ever get along with (someone who shares his interests, respects his boundaries, and completely dotes on him)

A digitally colored illustration of a Dungeons & Dragons bard character named Figaro. He's a stocky young man with Caucasian skin tone and features and long reddish-brown hair pulled into a ponytail, wearing a pirate-like outfit with a black-and-gold feathered hat, a knee-length red coat with gold buttons, a frilly white shirt, black-and-white striped pants, and knee-high laced boots. He's dancing joyfully on the deck of a pirate ship, playing a violin with a cheerful smile on his face. The sun is shining bright behind him, glittering across the ocean.ALT

A commission for Pan of their DnD character Figaro! I really wanted to capture the joy and energy of having fun on a sunny day.
