the thing that annoys me the MOST about the whole post adress discourse is the USAmericans going like "OOOH but AMERICA is more like 50 countries in a trenchcoat" (they always use the same stock phrase) "our STATES are so BIG and DIFFERENT and THICC and they HATE EACH OTHER we're like a whole continent" like yes no doubt that's true but that's true EVERYWHERE ELSE. You guys think you're the only country with a federal system or with regional differences? Nobody asks you to know the differences between a Chaqueño and a Porteño and a Salteño (boy we do love our ñs) in Argentina... nobody expects you to know the differences or names of all Brazilian states... what about the differences between Italian regions? multiethnic African nations such as Nigeria or Tanzania?
"oohhh but we're more like 50 countries in a trenchcoat"... Russia has entire republics of countries of different peoples and ethnicities inside its federation, one could argue the European Union is in the process of becoming a single country with internal nations as different as Spain and Ireland (each with their OWN internal regions)... but the rest of the world is supposed to JUST KNOW the difference between MA and MI and MO and MD and we are just supposed to KNOW why Ohio hates Oregon and what's a Minesottan accent?
If you expect people to know and understand the differences between US States (which, to be fair, are big, the US is a big country, but so is virtually every other country on Earth), you either have to put the effort to learn about other countries, or stop assuming everybody else knows about YOUR internal stuff and issues
anyways.

Hey, I'm watching a movie about a guy who has secret lives on the side of his official life. Different wives, kids, everything. And it got me thinking. People who do that in real life how do they do it ? It must be exhausting. It has to be men bc as a woman you can't really hide a pregnancy to you second family. So maybe it's just because we're used to have men less present in the home life so it's manageable ? 🤔 Sorry, just ranting here but also actually wondering
