prompt: everyone thinks you’re dating your childhood best friend sunghoon. well, everyone including sunghoon because he confessed to you almost a year ago and you didn’t exactly know it was a confession because of how casually he said it.
you and sunghoon had been best friends for as long as you could remember. in fact, one of your very first memories involved him pushing you on the swing, and comforting you when he accidentally pushed you too hard, and fell on the ground.
sunghoon, albeit quiet and aloof, was always the person who protected you and cared for you. when he found out you got sick in third grade, he skipped school, entered your house through the window and nursed you back to health after your parents left for work.
sunghoon, albeit reserved and self conscious, was always something who had your back. when he found out girls were spreading rumors about you in middle school, he confronted them and told them to back off if they knew what was good for them.
and don’t get me wrong, you always took care of him too. you made sure he got to school on time. whenever he had ice skating competitions that required him to go out of the country, you did his assignments and called him to let him know you were okay.
over the years, his touch became electrifying. his words became calming, and his embrace became loving. you thought it was because of the gigantic crush you had on him, but it was because of the equally gigantic crush he had on you as well.
