That episode had so many things that I love about 911 and the characters. We got a few calls, we got Madney moments, we got Maddie and Athena interacting, we got Buck and Eddie on FaceTime multiple times, we got character growth from Eddie, we got to hear about how much Bobby loves Eddie, we got some beloved recurring characters.

It's fun, it's emotional, it's silly, it's beautiful. The back half of season 8 has been some of my favourite 911 since s5 and it's so nice to tune and see the a show that feels so much more like the show that I fell in love with.

You know, actually, I think my favorite part of this episode is the idea of Bobby, sitting in his office, giving a reference for Eddie to this new captain, while also actively staking his claim, like "that man belongs in MY firehouse, you can borrow him but you canNOT have him."

buck’s pov of eddie: coolest hottest most awesome amazing guy on the planet everything he does is amazing and everyone can see how great he is and everyone should be in love with him and he can do no wrong and if he DOES do something wrong no he didn’t he literally has a silver star

eddie irl: world’s most annoying uber driver

eddie’s pov of buck: most stable, trustworthy, grounded guy, mature and thoughtful, first person you go to in a crisis, gives great advice without a thought for his own gain, basically the ideal partner

buck irl: crashes all the way out the minute eddie leaves town, drunkenly hooks up with his ex, says very unhinged and mean things and makes his sister’s life a living hell

buck not letting eddie give in to his insecurity about the job. buck not letting eddie talk himself out of his decision to move. buck holding eddie accountable for lying to chris and taking into account how chris must be feeling but also reminding him that all he needs is his dad. and that's exactly why he's eddie's partner in life and always will be, because he will never fail to consider what's best for both eddie AND christopher and to help them get there.

eddie diaz is just like. he's my sweetheart. my pretty princess. my baby. my little kitten. my specialest little guy (god's too). my pookiebear. my sopping wet stray puppy. my babygirl. my pumpkin pie. my sunshine. my angel. my little cowboy. my little cow boy. eddie from bucks perspective is literally like. he’s the most beautiful guy in the world he’s shining like the sun he keeps me sane and i’d die without him. and buck from eddie’s perspective is like he’s the only person who can and/or will help me everything about my life is better and easier when he’s around he’s my guy forever and also i’d die without him.
