The Tango Lesson

This fic has had a chokehold on me from the moment I read it. It’s got everything; amazing Ash characterization, Shakarian, James Vega being James Vega, and tango! If you haven’t read it already, I highly recommend :) (nsfw tho)

So I felt like I had to draw a scene from it. This was such a challenge, I hate backgrounds, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out - James and Ash especially.

Also the tango in ME3 is one of the reasons I take Argentine tango lessons lmfao

I know everyone is tired of platform-hopping trying to find a new place where we can feel safe, but Cara feels like the only one I’ve seen that has such explicit anti-AI policies. It has a feed like Instagram but portfolios and job boards like Artstation. It has glaze built into the site and a report function with review.

The creator is Jingna Zhang, an industry veteran, which I feel is important. An artist who knows what we all want and need.

It’s not tumblr, it’s not a blogging site, but for art, it’s the first one that I’ve actually gone and made an account for (@ricedbanana). I know my shitty little comics aren’t scrape-worthy but I have 3D art that I’ve been too depressed to share because of this dogshit. Maybe I’ll post it there.

I love it but I don’t have to like it

So, I always thought it was hilarious that Shepard thought she was Main Character enough to live through an Ardat Yakshi encounter, and then she wasn’t. While the cut to the game over screen is hilarious, I’ve always wished we got a little bit more.

If you’ve never seen the conversations, Morinth starts out justifying her murders by saying her victims experienced the most pleasure possible before dying. She flirts with you, but then she starts to wonder to herself “if anyone could survive it…it would be you. You came back to life.” And she actually does sound hopeful, that maybe she could actually find someone who she could have a relationship with and who she could be intimate with. We obviously know that’s not true. I wanted to draw the aftermath, when Morinth realizes that Shepard didn’t make it.

What if you chose control at the end of ME3, and then you import that save into ME4, and it turns into a Civ-style galaxy management game?
