Arias is a whole lot of Demon and a whole lot of flair. He’s also, personality wise, chill? I can’t picture this guy openly saying or doing things the usual fiend does. He’s just.. Vibing. And playing music.

He likes listening to dramatic retellings & Gossip.

HELP

He has toyhouse

The golden child of Asmodeus, still considered young and new to the hells. As prince he is mostly a rumor, but wether he is a secret or just gossip remains unclear. As a well-disciplined prince of the hells, Auvan is only a subject of pride for the lord of lies, he is richly educated and shares many of his father’s philosophies.

Asmodeus dotes on him as he once did for his daughter Glasya.
Auvan’s mother was a noble tiefling with succubus in her bloodline. Auvan lives in his own private tower in Fortress Nessus, a section that can only be accessed by a limited few.
He doesn’t really have much of a relationship with his sibling Glasya, despising her for distancing herself from their father. He views her as one would a blood-relative, even though she might not truly be related by blood.

Auvan’s appearance is much like his mother’s, even though he adjusts it freely. He can look more like his father if he wishes to. In human form he’s much smaller and petite, while in Devil form he is still considered petite in comparison to the average Cambion. For comfort, Auvan usually makes his horns disappear to seem less intimidating and more alluring, or frail. Don’t be mistaken, he is as powerful as he is cunning. The lord of lies wouldn’t have taught him otherwise.
Auvan isn’t referred to as a heir due Asmodeus’ status as a higher being with aspirations and goals eternal, but he could potentially become the sole person for that position.

perfectlynormalperson asked:

I was looking up the etymology for Succubus and Incubus to find a gender neutral term, and I found your post. From what I can tell, Incubus comes from in+cubare, Latin for "to lie upon" and succubus from sub+cubare, Latin for "to lie beneath." Using this knowledge, I made the term Procubus, which should be the equivalent of "to lie beside." I thought to share it with you, in hopes that you may find it useful.

Hey this is a really interesting concept to consider!  Also takes away the sexism that incu/succubus connotate.  Thanks,

I’ve been using “concubus” for years—that one’s “to lie with.” Same root as “concubine,” actually.

I use the term Concubus in my lore as well! See my post about it here: https://www.tumblr.com/rielzero/700749277184589824/can-someone-find-me-that-fantasy-tumblr-post-about?source=share :D

concubus succubus incubus gender neutral ace aro fantasy character lore lore demons etymology latin

Can someone find me that fantasy tumblr post about succubus/incubus being top/bottom words rather than female/male?

For some reason I remembered the context being that the latin meant ‘’below’’ and ‘’above’’ of some sort, while ‘’concubus’’ a neutral made term based on some latin means ‘’with’’ it kinda reminds you of the word concubine or consort (which imo are both gender neutral terms and mean the same thing.)

I actually use these terms in my canon! or rather for the race’s lore. Concubus is what all of them are, concubi- but they may sometimes refer to themselves as succubus or incubus depending on their pref sexual roles or position. The thing I like about concubus basically meaning ‘’to lie with’’ is that it doesn’t mean sexual per se. It could be perceived as companionship too. To lie next to someone doesn’t mean you’re bedding them. It could mean you want to be beside them platonically too, or just romantically. Which is why its a nice term for asexuality as well.
There can be female incubi and male sucubi. There are also androgynous or non-binary ones too!

If someone can find me a link the the original post so I can reblog it, thanks!

Here are some Concubus characters I have.

Most recent one! Is half concubus. Concubi are pureblood demona (demonkin, not devils.) He’s half devil half concubus!

In my lore as the Demona species, Concubi pureblooded ones are either green blooded, blue blooded or gold-blooded. non-pureblood concubi have magenta blood by default. The reason Asmodeus has blue blood is because of his dad’s side, his blood is considered more pure since Devils are a higher race than Demona are. Basicially, Devil > Demona > Demonkin.
In my lore, Demona are basicially bloodlines that have very distinct traits from other demonkin, making them ‘‘pureblood races’‘ since Demonkin can have very random traits.

Devils are more rare than Demona, Demonkin are the standard.

Concubi have two forms, human-ish form, and an alternative colored form for the demona form.

This is Yadier, he’s gold-blooded. I’m thinking of redesigning him again at some point. Mostly his hair and eyes. I struggle drawing him casually.

Nebula! She’s also Blue-blooded. She was redesigned in 2020, before I made the lore change with the names. But I do think of her as primarily using the term Succubus, all though she might sometimes view herself as an incubus (so, more dominant.) I need to make her a new refsheet at some point. Haven’t designed her a human-ish form.

image

The last one is a half-demon, so he’s part human part Demona. He does not have a Concubi form, and Rinne would fall under the ‘’asexual’’ part that I described earlier in the post. I intend to redesign him again some other time. Adjust his color pallette and fix a few things.

I’ve always kinda disliked it when the trope of ‘’horny demon’’ is over-used. In my lore, concubi in their culture simply have great ‘’sexual freedom’’ in a sense that their education on the subject is much better, and romance and companionship or loyalty is more a prominent trait in their culture. But because of how open they are about discussing the subject with more ‘’modern’’ ideas, they were labelled as ‘’sex demons’’ due their customs and festivals around the subject.
And asexual concubi aren’t shamed for their lack of sexual attraction. And yeah- aromantic concubi would exist too in that sense.

ANYWAY if someone can tag that original poster to let them know they inspired me with the latin stuff- THANK YOU ITS REALLY COOL AND IMO IT ADDS A LOT TO STUFF. ALSO I THINK THE TERM CONCUBI SHOULD BE AS OPEN-SOURCE AS MYTHOLOGY IS IN GENERAL. I DON’T OWN THE WORD! akshkdhfkhkghhh I just used it for my personal lore.

good night lol.
