Viable Excuse, a Kyle/Max (Roswell New Mexico) 1.1k fic, Rated Teen

The closet was a terrible hiding spot. It was basically the first place someone would look if they thought there was a person hiding in their house. Kyle could faintly hear the approach of heavy footsteps just outside the room. The bedroom door creaked a little as it was pushed open, and Kyle tensed up. His heart was hammering in his chest and sweat broke out along his brow. Surely they were about to get caught. And the thumb drive in his pocket proved exactly why they’d come to Flint Manes’ house in the first place. His mind whirled as he tried to figure out a viable excuse.

A split second later, Kyle remembered what Liz had done the last time he’d been hiding in someone else’s closet. Maybe her solution could work again.

He grabbed Max’s jacket and hauled him in for a kiss.
