1920s purple dress

While 1920s’ fashion is probably best known for short, spangled evening dresses, their popularity was brief. The purple crêpe foulards, or scarves, attach at the dropped waist line of this dress and hang well below its knee-length skirt, giving a nod toward the revival of floor-length evening gowns that became stylish in the 1930s.
