Made with ground beef, a white onion, green pepper, a bottle of chili sauce and a can of hormel tamales. This dinner comes together quickly. If you prefer, you can substitute homemade tamales as well. No oven needed, this whole skillet cooks up on the stove top. Serve with fritos scoops for a fun taco themed night.

Canned beef tamales are cut into chunks and combined in a casserole with onion, cheese, tortilla chips and (beanless) chili. These are baked for 40 to 45 minutes.

This Tamale Casserole uses one dozen tamales and some tasty Tex-Mex fixins and the result is a delilcious dinner! To cook this Tamale Casserole we used my Birmingham Stove and Range 3052D 2nd Generation Fish Cooker, circa 1960's-1970's. But you can easily use a 9x13 casserole dish or something similar.
