There were versions of open concepts in the 70s but the kitchen was often tucked away behind closed doors. It wasn’t until the ‘90s the thought was pushed to extremes with the fully open concept plan. We all know everyone hangs out in the kitchen! However, an open concept can quickly become artificial in a home built in 1915.
