The Hannah House was built in 1858 by Alexander M. Hannah,  in Indianapolis. IN. A staunch abolitionist, he and his wife used his home as a stopover on the underground railroad for slaves seeking their freedom. Slaves were hidden in a secret room in the basement as they journeyed to Canada. Hannah passed in 1895, and the estate sold the home in 1899. Owners since that time have reported the home is plagued by odors of rotting flesh, cold drafts, moving objects and other strange phenomena.
