Manisha Yadav on Instagram: "Anger is an overpowering emotion and we often are helpless when it strikes. Of course with consistent yogic practices, the intensity and the number of times we get angry keeps going down. But the first step could be handling how we react when we feel angry. Know that we need to just “postpone our words” when anger strikes. Doing these three steps will take only a few minutes and this can be done while you’re in the situation, while maintaining eye contact and being in the situation. Within these few minutes itself you’ll get enough control that you’ll be able to postpone responding until you calm down. Even this much will have a great impact on your relationships and mind. Try it and let me know your experience 🌼 [ Anger Anger Management Breath Breathe

Remember: anger serves a function, it is a message from our nervous systems that a boundary has been crossed, that some thing is not right, and that we need to take action to fix it. It’s necessary in the fight for justice. But it can also burn us out really fast, so make sure that you are doing things that can help you regulate, feel calm, feel supported, and let’s take this rage and make it sustainable for the long fight 💙
