After the bloom dies off: 1)Remove the wax and cut the stalks off- leave the leaves on if you have any 2)Place the bulb in a potting soil in a pot that is only about an inch larger than the diameter of the bulb and don’t cover it all the way up. Pot it only about halfway up the bulb.                                             3)Water the soil and keep it damp. Avoid watering the neck of the bulb and new roots will form.                                    4)Keep it under a grow light or under your brightest window. You can also store bulbs in a paper bag in a cool space and plant them outside during the spring/summer.
