Today started with a walk with Squish (1.66 miles of hills!).
After that, post op. My scar wound has scabbed over, finally, thank goodness. My belly button wound has developed a fungal infection. 😖 more wound care for me.
One of these days I’m gonna go in a hot tub. Seriously.
After the appointment, I had some shopping to do. Husband sent me down to the swanky liquor supermarket to stock up before the tariffs. First world solutions babey! So now we have so much liquor, and all I want to do is drink it. All of it. But that’s not what it’s there for, we’re not partying tonight, we’re drinking in moderation for months. I’ll make myself one (1) cocktail when I’m done with my sparkling water.
Tomorrow is Hawaiian Shirt Day at work. I have one, but it’s so boring! I’ll wear it with jeans and a t-shirt anyway, win some raffle tickets for prizes. (We don’t all get gifts, but there’s a raffle with some cool prizes)
(Friday is Hat Day and also a snowy day. Probably wear a beanie.
Saturday is Sportsball Day, and I have a big, warm Avalanche hoodie that I can wear.)
Anyway. I wish I was in a hot tub right now. Or at least a hot bath where I could shave. I swear it’ll be like shaving a bear. I need a chainsaw, not a razor 😂

It’s almost time for one of my favorite holidays: Dispatch week!!
April 13-20 (this year) is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. (insert thin gold line emoji here) Practically, that means the bosses show appreciation for us, give us food and gifts, and here at Big City Ambulance, let us dress down.
I’ve worked some places where it was acknowledged with an email. (Lookin at you Rural/Metro) This place goes all out!
I am most excited about the dress down portion of the festivities. I understand why we have the uniform, because we are extra and must show our pride in it. (Police dispatchers and calltakers dress down all the time, fire dispatchers wear t-shirts with the department logo, we wear full uniforms) But it leaves some to be desired in terms of comfort.
I’m planning my outfits already.
Anyway, I’m stoked. I’m wearing a skirt tomorrow, one with a stretchy waistband. *squee*

First plate is scallop and spring veggie salad.
With scallop, there is bamboo shoot, warabi, tara no me, hana wasabi…
All together in jelly style. Very tasty.
