David Pataraia
David Pataraia is a Doctor of Law. From 1996 to the present he has been lecturing at Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University and is a professor of the same University. Together with other professors and colleagues from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, he is the co-author of the Dictionary of Modern International Law, also co-editor of the Journal of International Law (which is published since 1996 on a yearly basis). He is the author of more than twenty scientific works and the following books: Succession in international law and Georgia; International Relations: Discipline and Theory (Georgian editions); Rechtsnachfolge im Völkerrecht, Dismembration der Sowjetunion und Georgien (German edition) and Traditional Theoretical Approaches in International Relations (English edition).
At various times, David Pataraia served as a Commissioner of the National Communication Commission of Georgia, the Parliamentary Secretary of the President of Georgia, the Head of the Administration of the President of Georgia.
