Continuation of weapon concept theme.

Hammer of the Thundersmith Weapon (warhammer), very rare (requires attunement) - When you hit with an attack using this magic warhammer, the target takes an extra 1d6 thunder damage. If the creature is made of metal or wearing metal armor, you can force the creature to make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the thunderous blow reverberates throughout the metal and disrupts the creature’s actions. The creature is deafened and has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks…

This was my entry for the MHW: Iceborne weapon design contest of 2019. The biggest selling point of the Iceborne expansion was the new snow themed area, and a lot of the promotional material showed a new Viking looking armor set (The Banbaro armor set) so I decided to take advantage of both the "Hammer Weapon" and the "Thunder Elemental Damage" that already exist in the game to create a "Mjölnir (Thor's Hammer)" equivalent of sorts.

Project done entirely on stream over at https://www.twitch.tv/alexcoman ! Fan art of the World of Warcraft DoomHammer. I added a bit of my spin to it in the form of cracks at the top part to symbolize the creation of the hammer and the magic that holds it together. Sculpted in Zbrush, painted in 3d Coat + PS, materials and renders in Marmoset 3.
