How to fill in grooves on table

I have two young children and one has a disability. After every meal or activity I find myself cleaning my table with dozens of toothpicks and tooth brush to remove crumbs or play dough from these grooves. My husband and I don’t care for table covers that hide the table. I was thinking of epoxy, but not sure how to apply.
