This is the first work I've done that features a full-digital human as anything other than a background character. I think I'm kind of in love with the potentials of photoscanning- I love the idea of being able to mix-and-match CG and real life like this :D

More environmental work for an upcoming Dynamo episode. I can't believe how long I fought learning UV unwrapping- it's been so nice!

Creating Films and Tutorials and just a Bunch of Stuff

Whenever I'm working on cleaning up photoscans, I usually have a single blender project open that I'm working in, and I'll mix and match stuff as I clean to make sure everything works in an actual environment, which invariably gets turned into a render. This is today's! Went on a hike yesterday and got a few scans (this whole thing is basically just the same 4 rocks over and over).

Party Tug still going strong at 6 am! I had the opportunity to make this image for the blender 2.83 splash screen :D. Spent forever trying to dial in the composition- maybe a little bit too hazy, but it reads alright.

Here are a couple stills adapted from a sequence I'm working on for a short film (soon to be released! (If I stop adding big cg sequences!)) The first image is straight rendered volumetrics, and the second one is all hand-done haze in post- just ended up making the most sense that way. Gonna be a hefty animation render.
