Middle ages church

The church was the dominant power in the Middle Ages. The king and the church basically balanced each other out. The church of Europe was a Catholic Christian church being led by the pope and the priest. Everyone had to attend church on Sundays. If you didn’t you would be punished. You would either be fined or the punishment could be physical.
