Vee || Home Decor || DIY Home Projects || Gardening on Instagram: "Let’s show the “professionals” how to finish off a job nicely 👌🏾😜😂 This is how the DIY home decor tips and tricks I have picked up in the last 12 months helped me transform my skirting board: 1️⃣ Removed all the old sealant 2️⃣ Sanded my skirting board using 120 grit sandpaper 3️⃣ Cleaned the floor and skirting board with sugar soap and a cloth 4️⃣ Put some masking tape down 5️⃣ Apply OB1 multi surface sealant to the gap between your masking tape and the skirting board; then smooth out with your fingers. I really feel like painting in the skirting boards elongated the length of the walls and made them feel taller, while painting in the doors made everything feel cohesive. I know some people will ask why I left the ceilings, but this hallway span three floors and even though I’ve painted in the ceilings downstairs, there was a few reasons why I didn’t do it on the higher floors - mainly to do with access and the way the space flowed!
