I bet you didn't know this. 1/50 shutter speed is what we see through our eyes. Being able to bring it up or down allows for different effects. The lower the shutter speed, the more dream like effect one can create. The higher the shutter speed the more intense of a scene you can create. Which do you prefer to see? Higher or lower shutter speed? #shutterspeed #cinematography #filmmaking #film #create #speed #blurr #card #cards #playingcards #reels #reel Shutter Speed Photography Ideas, Slow Shutter Speed Photography, Shutter Speed Photography, Speed Photography, Fast Shutter Speed, A Level Photography, Motion Photography, Slow Shutter Speed, Camera Shutter

Jonathan on Instagram: "How shutter speed affects your photos!

Shutter speed is the speed at which the shutter of your camera closes.

A faster shutter speed (1/200s) results in a small fraction of light taken in by the camera.

On the flipside, a slower shutter speed (2-10s) allows more light to enter your lens, making any moving objects appear blurred or in this case create a light trail. Slow shutter speeds are commonly used for long exposures, to create a crisp motion blur effect.

Which do you commonly use? Let me know in the comments below!

Jeff and Cat Chang - The Apartment Photo on Instagram: "Dragged LIGHT look with a mirrorless camera 👇

1. Make sure your flash is off, so the camera doesn’t try to simulate the exposure. (Most cameras do this when a flash is attached and turned on)

2. Set your settings that are “must haves”. For dragged light photos you need a slow shutter, around 1/8s. If not shooting dragged light, then 1/100 - 1/200 is great. Next must have is aperture. I like to shoot around f/4-f/5.6 to make sure the subject is sharp.

3. Now that your shutter speed and aperture are set, take a look at the back of your camera and see what you see. If it’s too dark, increase the ISO until you see the string lights or the lights you wish to “drag”. If not dragging lights, then increase the ISO until you see the amoun Slow Shutter Speed Photography, Wedding Photography Editing, Light Streaks, Shutter Speed Photography, Dj Lights, Slow Shutter Speed, Beam Of Light, Slow Shutter, Nothing New
