HERE’S WHY:

When we were building our home, I knew I wanted a dark countertop paired with dark wood for our kitchen island, with lighter perimeter cabinets and countertops, and my heart was 100% set on beautiful SOAPSTONE.

But as I researched, saw photos online, read horror stories, and saw images of chipped, scratched, dented, discolored soapstone… my heart sank. I appreciate patina… but this seemed to go beyond that.
