I called my new pattern Lake Garden for a number of different reasons. Sometimes naming a quilt can be really hard but this name just made sense to me. The pattern uses the same Drunkard’s Path rectangle templates that were used in my Around The Lake quilt so I wanted the names to relate somehow. The white centres of the blocks remind me of a flower in a garden bed and we also live so close to Lake Wendouree and the Ballarat Botanical Gardens. All these photos were taken at both of those…
