Seriously, we need more Itoshi sibling fics!
So, may I request:
After Rin dumps Reader for his childhood first love, instead of wallowing in heartbreak, Reader decides to focus on her studies and gets granted an overseas scholarship... to Spain.
The next time Rin hears about Reader is from gossip from his classmates: that his older brother is wooing Reader.

Itoshi Rin Itoshi Sae x Reader !

What Goes Around

Rin didn’t regret his decision.

That’s what he told himself, at least.

When he broke things off with you, it had been clean—no dramatics, no yelling. You had only looked at him for a long moment, as if memorizing his face, before nodding. “I see,” you had said, voice steady. “I wish you the best, then.”

No begging. No anger.

For some reason, that had made Rin feel even worse.

But he had made his choice. His first love, the girl he had admired since childhood, was back in his life, and he had to see things through. It was only fair to be honest with you, rather than string you along.

So why did it still bother him?

At first, he didn’t hear much about you. You weren’t the type to mope publicly or seek attention. If anything, you had thrown yourself into your studies even more than before. When the teachers praised you, when your grades climbed even higher, Rin had ignored the strange feeling in his chest.

Then you disappeared.

Not literally, of course, but you were gone from Japan before he even realized it. An overseas scholarship to Spain—granted to you for your academic excellence. You hadn’t even told him.

Not that you needed to.

He should be happy for you. Shouldn’t he?

But then, the whispers started.

“Did you hear? Itoshi Sae has been seen with y/n a lot in Spain.”

“They say he’s been spoiling her, taking her to expensive restaurants and matches.”

“They look good together, don’t they? A power couple.”

Rin stiffened.

Sae? His brother?

Wooing you?

That couldn’t be right.

But the more he listened, the clearer the truth became. He saw pictures on social media—of you at one of Sae’s matches, of you in Madrid, of Sae leaning in too closely with that infuriating smirk of his.

And worst of all? You looked happy.

Rin clenched his fists, jaw tight. He had made his choice.

So why did it feel like he was the one left behind?

sae's entire conflict with rin stems from the fact that he's a soccer freak, in a way.

like, his entire world is an axis that turns around soccer, and this makes it harder for him to relate to others or understand their motivations outside of the context of how the soccer world works.

this is what makes it hard for him to innately understand what motivates rin, which is further complicated by the fact that rin also aspires to be one of the best competitive players in the world.

but this does not solely come from a love of soccer, for him.

rin's passion for soccer comes from a position of loving to play soccer and destroying his opponents through it. without being able to play, he would likely move on to something that allowed him to compete with worthy opponents and destroy them at their best.

sae doesn't simply love playing soccer. he loves soccer. he is a soccer maniac, an actual freak, his whole goddamn life revolves around his obsession with soccer.

he even mentions this, in his bits of trivia. that maybe if he hadn't discovered soccer he would have been living a "normal" life.

he knows that his life isn't normal. he knows that the way he thinks isn't normal. but it doesn't mean he understands what it's like to be normal.

no matter where he is or what he's doing, his love of soccer will bleed through. to him, soccer is the ultimate. even if he wasn't playing soccer, soccer would continue to be his whole world.

the very way his mind works has been built around soccer and does not register any normal way of living outside of it. he picked up a soccer ball as an actual infant and never again lived without it.

it's why on some level, he doesn't understand rin.

he knows his brother. he loves his brother. but he doesn't precisely understand how his mind works, even though he knows that rin seeks destruction even more than him for a good while, because that is not how he thinks.

his mind is always on soccer, on his interest and fascination with soccer, even without him dedicating his career to becoming the greatest midfielder in the world.

it's why he looks at isagi and mentions to rin that he acknowledges isagi's capabilities as a striker. because he's a soccer freak, and his mind is immediately drawn to observing isagi's capabilities and assessing the way he played soccer.

it's why he so obviously missed how much that pissed rin off. that rin had been looking up at him with such hope in his eyes, such a deeply ingrained desire for his recognition.

it's why he walks off that pitch completely oblivious to the damage he's done, that he had inadvertently sent rin down on the path of rivalry with isagi, where he would finally wind up discovering his reasons and desire to play soccer for himself.

that he succeeded in pushing rin towards playing soccer not as his little brother, but for himself. when pushing him so brutally away and destroying their dream several months prior had failed to do so. and that it was all be accident.

and it's why he leaves the field completely oblivious to the way rin feels.

sailorstar9 asked:

Good morning, Berri. This is my first LADS request.
Have you ever have that one song that keeps repeating in your head?
So, what happens when the LADS men walk in to you humming that particular song while preparing Sunday brunch?

strwberri-milk answered:

  • Zayne/Sylus/and Xavier don’t particularly react much. He’ll take notice that you’re humming and simple slide in next to you as you cook, finding his spot as he either helps you cook or just keeps himself a steady presence next to you.
  • Sylus would hum with you a little bit too if he recognises the song - which he probably does since he’s been hearing it playing often as of late so it’s also been kind of stuck in his head. You’ve got a slightly off key singing partner but it’s endearing still to hear his low voice next to yours, adding to the quiet of the day.
  • Zayne and Xavier might ask what song it is and if you like it since it seems like you’ve been humming it a lot. He might also want to put it on and ignore it if you decide to put it on a loop because you’re just obsessed with it.
  • If Rafayel had enough sleep and isn’t exhausted he’ll hum with you, harmonizing softly and enhancing the way your voice sounds. To him, that’s the loveliest song and he would hate to do anything to outshine you.

Mikage Reo x Reader !

∘₊✧──────✧₊∘

Harmony in Motion

The grand piano gleamed under the soft glow of the stage lights. Mikage Reo sat at its bench, fingers hovering over the keys, his usual confident smirk replaced with something softer—something filled with quiet anticipation.

Beside him, you adjusted your violin, drawing in a slow breath. The air was thick with the expectant silence of the empty concert hall. It was just the two of you here, a private rehearsal before the actual performance.

“You ready?” Reo asked, his voice low, almost reverent.

You met his gaze and smiled. “Always.”

With that, his fingers pressed into the first note, a deep, resonant chord that vibrated through the air. It was warm, steady—the perfect foundation.

Then, you lifted your bow and let the violin sing.

The melody weaved between Reo’s playing, light and fluid, dancing over the steady rhythm of the piano. It was effortless, as if the two of you had been playing together for years. You knew when to push, when to pull back, when to let Reo’s music guide yours, and when to take the lead.

Reo, followed your cues perfectly.

His eyes flickered toward you between notes, taking in the way your body swayed slightly with each stroke of the bow, the way your expression softened in concentration. You were lost in the music, and honestly? So was he.

The song built up, rising in intensity, the piano’s deep chords clashing beautifully with the violin’s soaring melody. It was a push and pull, a conversation told through sound rather than words.

Then, with one last sweeping note, you both ended in perfect sync.

Silence.

Then a breath—

And Reo turned to you, his grin wide, his purple eyes shining with something close to admiration. “Damn,” he murmured, fingers still resting on the keys. “We sound incredible together.”

You let out a soft laugh, lowering your violin. “We do.”

He smirked. “We should do this more often.”

You raised an eyebrow. “The duet or spending time together?”

Reo chuckled, standing up from the bench and stepping closer. “Both.”

And somehow, you knew this wouldn’t be the last time your music intertwined with his.

One of my favourite topics when it comes to anime is the misunderstanding of complex yet well written characters such as Mr Itoshi Sae himself. Due to his blunt and cold nature, many people seem to assume that Sae is the bad guy and wants to purposely crush the dreams of aspiring footballers (such as Rin) however it's not the case at all.

In reality, we haven't seen enough of Sae (both in the manga or anime) to paint a solid character profile and come to a solid conclusion as to why he is the way he is. I believe football and the exposure to it at such a high level whilst only being 13 would have massively impacted his personality and he suggests this himself in his profile within the Egoist Bible. When asked 'What do you think you'd turn out to be if you hadn't met soccer?', he replied with "I'd have lived a normal happy life. My personality might not have turned out like this either.". Sae is a gentle soul, we see this in how he is with Rin when they were younger and you can tell he does care for Rin however I reckon he would have had to 'toughen' up when being exposed to the cruel reality of being a professional footballer.

Professional sports is brutal. And so is the environment in which you are surrounded by. I'm not sure in regards to other countries, but English football can have some of the most toxic and vile fans, racism is a super common occurrence. In 2020, Marcus Rashford missed a penalty during the shootout in the England vs Italy match and received an influx of racism and abuse. I bring this point up because in Season 1 of Blue Lock we see Sae is wearing black and white wristbands which is what footballers normally wear to symbolise the 'Stand Up Speak Up' campaign created for battling racism within European Football. This could suggest one of two things: Sae is wearing it to promote the campaign or Sae experienced racism whilst in Spain. Experiencing something like this can be absolutely detrimental to a person, at the end of the day professional athletes are also human beings, if it is the case that Sae has experienced this, then it makes a lot of sense as to why he is the way he is ESPECIALLY towards Rin. Why? Because he wants to protect Rin from the harsh cruel reality of professional football.

Which brings me on to my next point! Sae and Rin's relationship as of now. This dynamic is heavily misread by a lot of people, even friends who I have discussed this with have said that Sae is just cruel and hates his brother. This is just not the case. If anything, Sae is super emotionally constipated, he cares but he doesn't exactly show it in the best way and I believe that Sae is just trying to protect Rin. Yes, he can be an ass but he's just naturally blunt as is anyways. My favourite thing to mention that not many people do, is that we have only ever seen Sae from Rin's perspective and so the portrayal of Sae is biased to Rin's feelings about him. During the fateful night where the brothers 'fought', I believe it was fully shown to us from Rin's perspective alone, Sae's dialogue and attitude is how Rin perceived him at the time which to us looks like: cold, cruel and bad. In reality, Sae had been through a lot in the four years he'd been away from home, he was only a baby himself and went through so much. When we see Sae in that scene he looks tired and Rin does ask if he's lost weight, this alone backs up that we saw the fight through only Rin's perspective. The whole point of me ranting on about this is because I don't believe Sae would have straight up told rin "You're not necessary in my life anymore", he cares about him too much. I think because of the shock that they aren't sharing the same dream anymore and Rin's refusal to see that Spain has drastically changed Sae and his personality, he paints Sae in a cruel way in order to try and dissociate his feelings from the situation. It's common knowledge that Sae didn't view that night as a fight and instead just saw it as Rin being a rebellious teen. I think it would be interesting to see how that encounter went down from Sae's perspective.

I literally adore Sae as a character, he is so real. He is the perfect representation of what professional sports can do to a person, but some of y'all wanna hate on my glorious king. I will literally defend this man to the end of time.

*Pokes my head through your window*
Good afternoon, Berri.
May I request:
Childe with a Pâtisserie!Reader who bakes him a specialized charlotte cake (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlotte_(cake)) on his birthdays.

strwberri-milk answered:

  • It doesn’t matter what you make for him - as long as you’ve made it he loves it. He doesn’t often get himself fresh pastries only because he’s always on the go so something that has a tendency to go stale quickly or can’t just be shoved into a bag or pocket isn’t convenient for him.
  • When you present him with the cake he happily takes it, telling you to come sit with him because it’ll taste far better if you’ll eat with him. He savors the flavors and genuinely really enjoys, even if it’s not the typical flavor profile he likes. Typically he prefers sweets that aren’t too sweet and likes creamier tastes but it doesn’t matter whenever you present him with something. It’s automatically his favourite because you gave it to him.
  • He especially loves receiving your cake on his birthdays. He insists that you don’t have to do that for him every year but you do any way. He makes note of them every year so he can tell you what he likes - and somehow he manages to find something new about the cake every time. He also loves it when you don’t tell him what flavour you’re going to attempt making it and loves your ingenuity whenever you present him with a unique looking cake.

Chapter Three

After the fiasco with Toshiyuki Nishino and his business partner, Kyouko, Ami gained a confidence boost and started writing lyrics for the music pieces on the computer network she was registered as a member. It did not take long before ‘Constanice’, aka Ami’s pen-name, became known as the music world’s newest up-and-coming songwriter and requests for lyrics came pouring in.

image

When Ami went to Miyazaki Prefecture for the next leg of the Cross- Prefecture Medic Volunteer Program, she was still working on a lyric request.

Yukimiya Kenyu was on a rare day off, both from soccer practice and his modelling job, so he decided to just take a scroll along the Miyazaki main street. Entering the 6zi Coffee Shop for a cup of cuppa, he was greeted by a shock of dark blue hair that entered his line of sight when he stepped into the cafe.

Said dark blue haired girl was seated at a table by the wall, a laptop in front of her with a pair of earphones plugged in. A notebook was also opened before the laptop with writings on the pages. A plate of half-eaten pita pockets stuffed with scrambled eggs and bacon lay beside the notebook, along with a cup of cafe latte.

“Master.” Yukimiya called out to the cafe owner, taking a seat on one of the high stools at the counter. “A rooibos tea, please.”

Moments later, Ami started packing up her things, finished her pita pockets and her cafe latte before leaving the coffee shop.

Yukimiya sucked in a breath when Ami walked past him to the doors, a trail of icy dust streaming past him. Who is she? He wondered, watching Ami’s figure vanish from the doors.

image

That night, Yukimiya dreamt: of crystalline castles, of royalty in flowing suits, of scholarly knights in armour.

image

The next day, still tormented by his unsettling dreams, Yukimiya decided to track down the blue haired girl from the previous day.

By coincidence, he chanced upon her volunteering at the city’s rehabilitation facility.

Parking himself on a building opposite the rehabilitation facility, Yukimiya watched as the younger girl weaved through the exercise machinery; replacing soiled towels, topping up empty water bottles and wiping down the sweat-drenched machinery after every use.

The caduceus? Yukimiya frowned, recognizing the entwined serpent staff on the girl’s blue choker, and then a distant memory came to him. “Chione-hime…” his eyes widening in realization that he had found his liege Princess once again. “I’m… Kheiron…” he muttered, as flashes of him being the study buddy, and later the advisor of Prince Nêreus, the Prince of Mercury, came to him. “Ainia…” he mumbled, recalling Princess Chione’s assigned guardian and later protector to Sailor Mercury. “Have you also been…”

-> when chigiri sees the child behind you, he’s almost offended that you moved on so quickly, based on the child’s older age. but then he sees the bright red fridge peeking out from beneath the boy’s beanie, and his heart stops

-> you hurriedly grab your son’s hand. “come on, hikari. we’re going to miss the bus, and i don’t want you out too long in this weather.” he mumbles a response and follows, but chigiri wraps a trembling hand around your arm, holding you in place

-> “y/n, what—“ “hey! let go of my mom!” hikari yells when he sees, immediately kicking chigiri in the shins in an attempt to “rescue” you

-> you would have laughed if you weren’t on the verge of a mental breakdown. telling your son to stop, you quickly step between the two and kneel down to match hikari’s height. “stop. thank you for protecting me, honey, but i… i know him. it’s okay.”

-> he’s not convinced, but your son knows better than to argue back with you. he shoots the man, his father, a single glare when you stand to catch chigiri’s shaky stare

-> “wh—y/n, what the fuck?” you decide against scolding him for cursing in front of a child considering the situation. “how old is he? how long… what the fuck! i have a son?”

-> you swallow hard. “yes.” behind you, hikari tenses. “he’s my dad? but he’s pretty!” you swat playfully at your son and try desperately not to laugh

-> the surprise meeting made you miss the bus, and chigiri offers to drive you home for a long overdue discussion
